Sweets are something that are enjoyed by everyone. It is also a great indulgence, if consumed in moderation. So, along with the relishing, we also need to keep a tab of our sugar intake on a regular basis. Here is a guilt-free burfi recipe for you that is hearty, but also equally healthily.

Prep Time 15minutes
1cup Desiccated coconut1/2cup Almond powder1/2cupdates, pitted3tbspMilk1tspGhee1/2tspCardmom powderA few saffron strands
Soak dates in boiling milk for 10 minutes and blend into a smoothe paste.
In a skillet, add some ghee and add the date puree.
Cook for two minutes on low flame.
Add in the almond powder and desiccated coconut and saute for a few minutes
You will find a dough like consistency.
Stir in the saffron milk and cardamom powder.
Meanwhile, grease a tin with ghee
Spread the dough evenly into the tin and keep aside to cool.
Serve by cutting into diamond shaped pieces and serve.
